Benefits to joining a consortium include:

  • Playing a direct role in bringing a new work into existence and supporting contemporary music.

  • Receiving a personalized premiere edition of the work's materials.

  • Having your name included in the front matter of the work and on its dedicated website page as a recognized commissioner.

  • Receiving exclusive performance rights to the work for one year after receiving the work following its world premiere by the consortium director.

  • Joining a network of performers, educators, and advocates supporting the creation and performance of new music.​​​​

New Work for Alto Saxophone and Piano​

  • Consortium led by Micah Cheng

  • Instrumentation: alto saxophone and piano

  • Duration: 6-7 min.

  • Difficulty: Very advanced

  • To be completed by January 1, 2027

  • Consortium limit: 20 participants

  • Deadline to join the consortium: October 15, 2026.
